If you are a fan of Backpacker Magazine, you will thoroughly enjoy the e-zine version. There are even a couple of stories by me (check out Ishi Wilderness and Hoover Wilderness). Expand your horizons: Lonely Planet Online features lots of the stuff you find in this company's famous print travel guides.

The National Park Service web page has loads of information on the widely varied sites they administer. These national treasures are among the finest places in the world for sheer breathtaking beauty.

If you are into hiking, backpacking, and all the other excuses for getting outside and running around, The Backcountry Home Page is a good place to look. There is lots of how-to and where to go information. Don't forget your camera.

The Guide to Outdoor Adventure is sponsored by Nissan and is a plug for their Pathfinder sport utility vehicle. However, the site presents lots of good information about places to go where a camera should be one of your accessories.

Outside On-Line is the electronic version of Outside magazine. If you are familiar with the paper version, you know there is lots of good stuff here about various aspects of the outdoor life.
